Kymera is a contemporary name inspired by the Greek Chimera — the mythical hybrid creature formed through the union of distinct and seemingly unrelated parts.
This idea of hybridity lies at the heart of our approach to architecture. We see design as a process of synthesis and transformation, where different identities, influences and conditions come together to form something coherent and unique.
At Kymera architects, we explore the relationships between space, context, materiality and experience. Each project emerges from the dialogue between seemingly opposing forces: the existing and the new, precision and intuition, tradition and experimentation, constraint and possibility.
Rather than pursuing a predetermined aesthetic, we believe that every project should develop its own identity — shaped by its place, its programme and, above all, the people who inhabit it.
Kymera is about bringing distinct elements together, not to erase their differences, but to create something unexpected from their coexistence.
It is this process of transformation — this space alchemy — that defines our work.
